FIFA World Cup 2018: Top Five Goalkeepers to Watch Out for in Russia.

News24hours :Sports take a look at the few top goalkeepers who could take the tournament by storm in Russia.

1:-David de Gea (Spain)
Arguably the best goalkeeper in the business currently, Spanish number one David de Gea has time and again proved that he the worthy successor of the legendary Iker Casillas for Spain. The reason why Manchester United achieved second spot in the Premier League can be attributed to de Gea, as he won the golden glove for the 2017-18 season with as many as 18 clean sheets to his name. This season, de Gea also won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award at Manchester United — his fourth in five seasons — and that says it all about the caliber of the Spanish custodian.

During Spain's qualifying campaign, de Gea played nine matches in which he conceded just 3 goals and kept as many as six clean sheets. So, if the La Roja are to recreate the magic of 2010, de Gea's ability and form will play a very crucial role.

2:- Manuel Neuer (Germany)

German superstar Manuel Neuer is single-handedly responsible for the change in the way keepers function these days. Neuer made a name for himself with his scintillating displays with Schalke that got him a big-money move to Bayern Munich and since then, he hasn't looked back. Not only Neuer is a goal-keeper but the way he rallies his defenders is also second to none. In the last World Cup, Neuer kept as many as four clean sheets in seven matches and only conceded four goals throughout the course of his team's victorious campaign.

Neuer's sweeper-keeper role has been very well documented in the past and if the big German is fit as he claims to be, then expect the Die Mancshaft to challenge for the title once again.

3:-Thibaut Courtois (Belgium)

Slowly and steadily, the golden generation of Belgium football is running out of time on the international arena and after failing to deceive in 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Euro Championship respectively, Roberto Martinez's side will look to make amends in Russia and live up to their billing. Thibaut Courtois holds the back of a very powerful Belgian side and the team management knows that their hopes of making it into the latter stages of the tournament lies with their star custodian.

Courtois is one of the best in business when it comes goal-keeping and he played a very important role in Chelsea winning the FA Cup this season. In total, Courtois played 46 matches for Chelsea and conceded a whopping 47 goals across all competitions and therefore, he will look to make amends as his future with the English giants is up in the air and will want to put up a good show for his potential suitors for next season.

4:-Hugo Lloris (France)
Huge Lloris has become a household name worldwide with his scintillating displays for both France and Tottenham over the last few years and and he is now the undisputed number one for both club and country. Lloris will hurting off the fact that he came ever so close to lifting an international title but he was caught off-guard by a stunner from Eder in the final of the competition.

Lloris featured in nine world cup qualifying games for France, keeping seven clean sheets and conceding six. Moreover, Lloris' excellent campaign saw him keep 15 clean sheets for Spurs and if manages to pull-off similar heroics in the blue of national team, expect the young guns of France to go very very far in the tournament.

5:-Allison Becker (Brazil)
If a goal-keeper manages to keep out Manchester City's Premier League-winning custodian Ederson from the playing XI, then that players has to be extraordinary and AS Roma's goalie Allison Becker is just that. Brazil coach Tite feels that Allison is a better goalkeeper that Ederson and his performances with Italian giants AS Roma has been simply stunning, where he helped his side reach the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League 2017-18.

In his 49 starts for Roma, Allison managed to keep 22 clean sheets in the recently-concluded season and while playing for Brazil in the World Cup qualifiers, he kept 9 clean sheets in 16 matches, helping Brazil top the group. On paper, the Selecao possess one of the most explosive forward line among the 32 teams that are landing in Russia and as far as defense is concerned, the onus will be on Allison to keep his back-line steady — something he has done ever so well in the last couple of years.

Bullet train to come up along new Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway? First-of-its-kind project likely.

Indian Railways has joined hands with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to twin a rail line along the proposed expressway between Mumbai and Nagpur -- a first such coordinated move to execute a transportation project.

INDIAN RAILWAYS :-joined hands with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to twin a rail line along the proposed expressway between Mumbai and Nagpur — a first such coordinated move to execute a transportation project.
Both arms of the government will work together to put the project on the fast track with the aim of drastically cutting travel time on the busy route.
“Spanish consultant Ineco has conducted a feasibility study on constructing a high-speed rail line along the proposed Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway and the reports are positive,” a senior Railway Ministry official told IANS.
Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, which is already acquiring land for the proposed expressway, will keep the rail project in mind, he added.
The elevated rail line could be built in the middle or along the proposed 800 km expressway depending on the ground situation, according to a feasibility report.
The official said that twin tunnels and bridges can also be constructed to cross rivers and negotiate hilly areas in a coordinated way for road and rail traffic.
While the feasibility report is being examined by the Railways officials concerned, the Spanish team is set to make a detailed presentation, including on the financial aspect, to the public transporter shortly to take the ambitious project further.
According to the study, travel time will be drastically reduced for both road and train travellers as the expressway will be fully access-controlled while the elevated rail track will ensure an uninterrupted high-speed train journey.
Land acquisition is a serious problem and many rail projects, including the ambitious Dedicated Freight Corridor, have been delayed due to land-related issues. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor is also facing the same problem.
Incidentally, the improved road network in the country has taken a toll on the Railways’ business on shorter routes and the national transporter is making a concerted effort to wean away goods and passenger traffic from roads and increase its share.
“It’s a new way of executing the project faster, as the combined efforts to acquire land will ease a major burden for both ministries and pave the way for speedy execution,” the oficial said.
The Mumbai-Nagpur section is part of the proposed high speed rail corridor between Howrah and Mumbai, the diamond quadrilateral rail project.

500-LBS WOMAN KILLS WORLD’S OLDEST TORTOISE BY ACCIDENTALLY SITTING ON It.

A woman was arrested this morning on the Atlantic island of Saint Helena for accidentally causing the death of the oldest known animal in the world, a 185-year old tortoise named Jonathan.

The famous Seychelles giant tortoise lived on the grounds of Plantation House, the official residence of the island’s Governor, and belonged to the government of Saint Helena since 1882.

According to the Saint Helena Police Service, 47-year old Margaret Sanders was visiting Plantation House with her family when her legs began to hurt and she needed to rest.
The 520-lbs woman began looking for a place to sit down, and unfortunately confused the venerable animal with a decorative bench and decided to sit on it.
Ms. Sanders’ weight was too important for the tortoise’s carapace and it immediately began cracking up, crushing the animal underneath.
The site’s veterinarian, Dr. Frank Hollins, arrived less than a minute later, but Jonathan had already died of suffocation.
Dr. Hollins was visibly emotional when he described the scene in an interview with the BBC, only hours after the incident.

Google working on a Snapdragon 710-powered Pixel smartphone for early 2019

Google is apparently working on a mid-range Pixel device powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 710. Earlier reports have pointed out that the company is indeed developing such a device, but aimed at the Indian market only.
There is no detailed information regarding the phone since it has gone into development just a month ago and will be ready starting 2019. This claim also contradicts the initial information about a mid-range Pixel device coming in August. But since we haven't heard anything about it so far - no certification, no benchmark sheets, no solid leaks or evidence - we can safely assume that they've pushed the launch date to the beginning of 2019.
